The superintendent told the board that students at East Brunswick High School achieved an overall 95.44% pass rate (scores of 3 or higher) on May 2025 AP exams, with several courses—including AP U.S. history, Spanish literature and culture, German language, drawing and 2D art design—recording 100% pass rates.
The district said 443 of 694 students (64%) reported being accepted to their first-choice college, and that counseling staff have been conducting campus visits to inform students about admissions processes. The superintendent described summer early‑learning and kindergarten readiness camps and noted ongoing curriculum and counseling activities.
Separately, the board received an update on the superintendent search. The district said the contracted search firm reported a high level of community survey participation and a “rich” applicant pool. The district stated the application window closes Aug. 1, and that next steps will follow the search firm’s process.
The presentation offered no timetable for a finalist announcement. Board members and staff thanked teachers, counselors and students for the results, and said the district will continue monitoring college application outcomes as part of routine reporting.
