Committee passes SCR 165 SD1 designating March as 'March for Water Month'

The Culture and the Arts Committee voted to adopt SCR 165 SD1, designating March as 'March for Water Month' to promote water conservation across the state.
Kathy Mitchell of the Board of Water Supply told the committee, "we stand on our written testimony. We're happy to support a March for Water Month and to serve as a platform to for communities to raise awareness about water conservation." The Plumbers and Pipe Fitters also submitted support on the measure.
The chair recommended the measure be passed "as is." During roll call, Representative Garrett was recorded as excused; the committee adopted the chair's recommendation to pass SCR 165 SD1.
