Mayor Pro Tem Joe Anderson previews Englewood agenda, flags $200,000 park IGA and data‑sharing items

Mayor Pro Tem Joe Anderson on March 18, 2026, opened the Englewood mayor–manager meeting and reviewed the agendas for several upcoming council and study‑session meetings, flagging a proposed $200,000 intergovernmental agreement (IGA) with Adams County for park improvements and two local air monitors.

The rundown covered routine financial and planning items as well as several ordinances and contract recommendations scheduled across April and May. "We've got February 2026 general fund monthly financial report, conservation overlay, Title 16 amendments, long‑range affordable housing plan," Anderson said while listing March and April items. He also noted a 2027 budget presentation, board and commission appointments, and a contract award recommendation for the Old Hampton utilities improvements (phase two with Timberwolf Excavating).

The April 20 agenda includes a motion to approve acceptance of a $200,000 request for park improvements IGA with Englewood and Adams County to fund two local air monitors through the CLEAN program; no vote or final action on that motion was recorded in the mayor–manager meeting. Anderson also listed a forthcoming public hearing on state laws related to housing and related Title 16 amendments, and first reading of an ordinance to adopt the 2024 international building and fire codes (CB21).

Anderson said the Inglewood Arts organization had withdrawn a request for a security fee waiver that had been on the April 6 agenda. "That actually was withdrawn yesterday by the organization," he said. Staff and leadership agreed to review whether any items could move to consent to shorten meeting length.

Council requests recorded for follow up included a Flock camera data request from Matt Crabtree, several questions on roundabouts from a Mr. Phillips/Philipsson, comments on the state data‑sharing IGA and recent police code work on a property on South Lincoln raised by Mr. Ben David.
