EDA approves agenda and consent items, sets Jan. 20 follow-up on signage, ordinance and funding

Directives from the meeting include: staff to prepare refined drawings and cost models for a Balsam Lane sign, to distribute an updated sign-ordinance packet that includes recent Quick Trip–related amendments, to convene consultants and industrial stakeholders about rail feasibility, and to assemble quantifiable metrics of EDA value (taxable value added, housing units, etc.) to support any levy or funding requests. Staff also will publicize the Henipin County facade grant (awarded $30,000) and prepare a briefing on the state LAA housing allocation ($73,000) before the next meeting.
