Clay County approves consent agenda including two MoDOT grants and $141,142 Bomag reclaimer purchase

County staff presented five consent items: approval of 225 invoices totaling $348,475.42 for the April 4–10, 2026 payment period; application for a Missouri Department of Transportation youth alcohol enforcement grant for $8,313 with no county match; two 50/50 MoDOT traffic-enforcement grants with county shares of $81,244 and total project costs of $162,488 each (one dedicated to impaired-driving enforcement and one for hazardous moving violation enforcement); and a capital project encumbrance to purchase a Bomag RS 460 reclaimer for the Road and Bridge Department at $141,142.42.
Commissioner Johnson moved approval of the consent agenda. After a roll-call vote, the motion passed unanimously, 5–0. No commissioner discussion altered funding levels or terms during the vote.
The items will proceed according to normal staff implementation procedures; the grants include county matches where noted and the Bomag purchase is an encumbrance recorded for the Road and Bridge capital program.
