Peterson said he “just want[s] to come in back and forth on that ordinance.” A council member recommended he speak with the police chief to learn where he may legally operate the vehicle. The council and presenters clarified that the city collects the lodging and restaurant taxes discussed later, but that enforcement of vehicle ordinances is a policing matter.
Separately, a council member relayed a constituent message reporting that people were living in an "ice house" with frequent comings and goings. Councilors referenced city code limiting seasonal RV occupancy, saying October 31 is the cutoff for certain temporary housing and noting a two-week maximum for family visitors during warmer months. Staff said they would contact the caller.
No official action was taken during public forum; councilors suggested follow-up with the police chief and city staff for enforcement or clarification.
