Piloting teams from literacy resource staff, school counselors, special‑education coordinators and site leaders reported that Panorama consolidated disparate academic, attendance and behavior data into a single student profile. Teachers and resource specialists demonstrated how they could form intervention groups “with the touch of a button,” set targeted short‑term goals, and track progress in real time. A primary‑grade literacy resource teacher said the tool allowed her to set letter‑naming fluency goals and monitor mastery the moment students met targets, freeing time for instruction rather than manual data entry.
Special education and counseling pilots said the platform helped surface student strengths and needs, document interventions consistently, and supports more precise IEP and 504 monitoring (district staff emphasized Panorama would not replace formal IEP documents). Pilot participants described role‑based permissions and district controls; a Panorama representative said the vendor meets recognized security standards and that, in the district’s configuration, users will see only data appropriate to their role (teachers: assigned students; principals: site; district leads: district view).
Separately, a cross‑sector behavior steering committee presented a comprehensive behavior ecosystem that includes a behavior response flowchart, a STAR site‑team action model for in‑school responses, and a district transition behavior support team for higher‑intensity incidents. Committee members said they produced a digital “behavior guidance book” and an accompanying website with resources and a QR code for staff. The rollout plan calls for site training this spring, open‑house consultations over summer months, and continued monitoring in fall 2026.
Board members praised the collaborative nature of both efforts and raised common concerns about privacy, data access, and integration. Trustees asked staff to ensure role‑based access for Panorama and to clarify how the dashboard integrates with the district’s student information system and any parent communication tools. Staff said they had run a multi‑month cross‑functional pilot and will bring adoption recommendations and implementation details back to the board for approval.
