New tennis instructor outlines registration plans; authority to refine windscreen sizing

Arlland Donnelly, introduced as Oak Hills’ new tennis instructor, told the authority he is building a website (oakillennis.com) and plans to roll out an online registration and membership platform around April 1. Donnelly said ladies’ teams are currently full and that a waiting list totals about 20 players; he estimated ladies’ teams contribute about 40% of tennis revenue.
Members and staff discussed court reconditioning timing and a vendor quote for windscreens. Jim Shell and Denise Brown outlined that screens on courts 1 and 6 may need a slightly different length (one end shorter) to avoid blocking gate access; Shell recommended a 40-foot panel at one corner instead of a uniform 50-foot length if that resolves gate interference. Staff will review the Oval quote and finalize sizing before purchase.
