Connie Schlayine, chair of the Cultural and Fine Arts Commission, invited residents to a free reception honoring Ada Leone at the Plaza Amphitheater. Erin McTagert promoted the Wine Country Open Paton tournament at Depot Park on April 25-26 and emphasized that visiting players and sponsors should help the local economy.
Interim City Manager Christina Lovich introduced herself and listed city offerings and deadlines: awards to student artists, the Alta Madrona affordable-housing waiting list (applications at sahomes.org), the Trashion fashion show, Earth Day events on April 25, and the Kyle Petty charity ride starting in Sonoma.
Mayor Ron Wellander read a proclamation designating April 2026 as Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month; representatives of the local support group described monthly meetings and exercise programs offered through Rock Steady Boxing. The council then approved the consent calendar unanimously by roll call.
