The Warrick County Solid Waste Management District board on April 16 unanimously approved its March minutes and monthly claims and added a supplemental claim for electrical work.
During roll call the board confirmed a full membership present. The board voted to approve claims totaling $150,735.51. A motion to approve carried unanimously.
A board member asked to add an invoice submitted April 15 from Sims Electric for $42,354 related to the first completed step of the phase-two electrical upgrade (claim number 1300; check number 10446). A staff member told the board the engineering team had inspected the site, photographed completed work and recommended payment. The motion to add and approve the claim was seconded and carried unanimously.
Staff also reported the district closed March with a cash balance of $4,408,603.33. The board previously approved a PERF payment for Gary Roush’s missed wages totaling $1,002.03; staff said those amounts were processed through payroll and appear as seven separate line items in the claim docket.
The board did not receive public comment at the meeting. Staff said a contract renewal from Voice Systems (listed as BSN/BSNA in board materials) is due in June and will be reviewed before the May meeting for future board action. The meeting adjourned after routine business.
