The Manhattan School Board approved several district contracts at its March 10 meeting, including a three-year audit services contract and a one-year grounds maintenance agreement.
The board authorized a three-year audit contract with Strong Associates covering audit period July 1, 2025–June 30, 2028. The administration noted the new contract amount ($24,000) was higher than the prior agreement (previously $16,000) and discussed possible options for smoothing increases in future years.
For grounds maintenance, administrators presented three local bids and recommended contracting with Brady Jones (bid read at $31,000 for the April–September window). The board approved a one-year arrangement to move grounds work off the maintenance/custodial plate while the district addresses staffing shortfalls.
The board also approved a standard tuition agreement with Amsterdam and discussed that language had no substantive changes beyond dates.
