Separately, the commission approved a final plat to create a single lot from the same 2.06‑acre parcel. Staff recommended a waiver of sidewalks along Hacks Cross and Airport Road because sidewalks are not present in the immediate vicinity; the developer will be responsible for any needed utility extensions before building permits are issued.
Bob Farley, representing the applicant, was present for the rezoning item; he and staff answered no public questions during the hearing. The commission’s approvals will be forwarded to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen for final action and for recordation of the plat before any building permits are issued.
