The Parker Town Council on Dec. 1 approved Resolution 25-083 to reappoint several members to the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Advisory Commission and to appoint one candidate to fill a vacancy.
Staff introduced the nominations before the council. Debbie Redrainer presented the slate and said the appointments would extend terms through Dec. 31, 2028 for those recommended. "And that concludes our presentation, for your consideration," Redrainer said.
Council members questioned a prospective appointee, identified in the record as Blair, about what she hoped to learn and how she would contribute; Blair said she is a frequent user of the town's parks and open space and wants to learn how the system is connected so she can better serve as a neighbor and user.
Councilmember France moved to approve Resolution 25-083 and Hendrix seconded. The motion carried; the audio transcript records multiple "yes" votes but does not provide a full roll-call tally in the recording.
There were no public commenters who addressed this resolution during the public comment period. Staff noted that the commission's outgoing members wished to continue serving and that the panel recommended incumbents for reappointment and one new member to fill the remaining term.
The council's approval sends the reappointments into effect; staff will notify the appointees and update commission records.
