The council discussed a requested $80,000 purchase for a new pickup truck for NVH (as described by packets) and approved the appropriation. Council then approved a transfer for EMS staffing: $7,024 moved from the paramedics line item to part-time and $6,569.86 moved from paramedics to overtime to address short-staffing and early-year staffing pressures.
All motions on appropriations and the EMS transfer passed unanimously, 5-0. Council members noted the EMS budget alternates between service revenue and tax dollars through the year and agreed to monitor staffing and budget impacts going forward.
