Board approves financial reports, donations and summer food program; sets May meeting date

The board accepted donations totaling $67,421.57, including a large Community Foundation contribution and an ongoing Peggy L. Sankey Swain fund gift. The donations list was read aloud and accepted 7–0.
Dr. Schimpf recommended district participation in the Summer Food Service Program from June 1 through July 27, 2026, with drive‑through distributions at the high school. He said the district received 51 survey responses and estimated about 119 children would benefit; the board approved participation 7–0.
Other actions: the board approved a senior class out‑of‑state field trip to Kings Island with named chaperones, multiple personnel hires/transfers/resignations, and updated principal contracts for two years with listed salaries. The next regular meeting was moved to May 21 at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the Rockville cafeteria to avoid a scheduling conflict with eighth‑grade promotion night.
