City Plan Commission representative Jack Benjamin read the commission’s recommendation to the committee, noting the building has been used previously for auto repair, a zoning variance was previously granted, Suite 2 contains the necessary repair components and the site has adequate parking. "City plan recommends approval of the dealer's repairs location approval application," Benjamin said.
The committee had no members of the public speak on the item and moved to refer the application to the full council with a neutral recommendation; the committee’s motion carried by voice vote.
Next step: the referral will appear before the full Common Council for final action.
