The Olive Branch board on Oct. 21 approved an amendment with Fischer and Arnold Incorporated for additional construction engineering and inspection services tied to the Maywood water and gas improvements.
Staff recommended the amendment after reviewing expected calendar days and inspection hours; the amendment adds $47,950, increasing the contract ceiling from $90,000 to a not-to-exceed $187,950. "We had reviewed a request that Fischer and Arnold has sent us ... The number of hours they intend to put in per week for construction engineering and inspection ... fell in line with what we were asking for," a staff speaker said.
Mr. Earhart moved to approve the amendment; Mr. Collins seconded and the board voted to approve the additional funds and scope. Staff said some earlier months included charges that had not previously been billed to the city and that the amendment was fair in light of expected work quantities.
The amendment will allow continued inspection and engineering oversight as the Maywood water and gas project progresses.
