Board approves $49,211 change order for Olive Branch Public Works Building

The Olive Branch board on Oct. 21 approved change order No. 7 with A&B Construction in the amount of $49,211.36, increasing the Public Works Building contract from $8,734,695.31 to $8,783,967 and extending the completion date by 15 calendar days to April 15, 2026.
Staff described the items in the change order as installation of joint sealants, a dumpster pad turndown and partition support systems. "We reviewed this with the contractor and the engineer and determined these were needed upgrades," a staff presenter said.
Mr. Gamage moved to approve the change order; Mr. Collins seconded and the board voted to approve the additional cost and time extension. Staff did not indicate any alternate funding source; the change order increases the contract ceiling as recorded in the meeting notes.
