The Olive Branch board approved a final plat Oct. 21 to combine two lots in the Mineral Wells commercial subdivision into a 1.07-acre parcel for use as an office for Red River Express, a company that provides contract logistics for FedEx.
Adam Mann, presenting staff’s report, said existing Lot 2 is 0.39 acres and Lot 3 is 0.68 acres and that utilities and vehicular access are already available at the site at 7067 Highway 178. "This existing lot two is 0.39 acres. Existing lot three is 0.68 acres," Mann said, and the application meets the city’s subdivision and zoning ordinance, subject to listed conditions including a monument-style freestanding sign limit.
Mr. Dickerson moved to approve the final plat, Mr. Hart seconded, and the board voted in favor. Staff noted no variances, deviations or waivers were requested for the plat and that the planning commission unanimously recommended approval subject to conditions.
The combined lot is intended to be used as an office for Red River Express; staff said no additional street construction is required and utilities are on site.
