The Redondo Beach Planning Commission on April 16 approved an exemption declaration and a conditional use permit allowing a dog daycare and dog training facility at 1212 South Pacific Coast Highway (Case No. 2026-0124).
Senior Planner Stephen Chang told the commission the proposal would occupy a 3,800-square-foot tenant space within an existing two-story commercial building on an 18,900-square-foot lot. "The total capacity proposed is 50 dogs," Chang said, adding that 10 spots would be dedicated to training and 40 to daycare. He said there is no proposed overnight boarding and that training would be offered Monday through Friday, with daycare hours proposed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
