Teachers, feeder‑school leaders and parents testified in support, highlighting Prepitech’s role in an International Baccalaureate continuum and supports for McKinney‑Vento families.
District staff described a history of oversight that culminated in a county SULPA finding in 2025 that cited issues with IEP timelines, service‑tracking and discrepancies between the school’s internal records and the county system (SACE/Welligent). CSD noted the county had documented persistent recordkeeping issues for a subset of students and that recent reviews still showed services recorded in low‑compliance tiers for some students.
The board approved the denial motion. CSD said it will notify the operator, coordinate with the county SULPA on outstanding compliance items, and outline appeal and remediation steps.
