The district will operate distribution sites at Pilaski County Middle School (for secondary and multi‑family students) and Pilaski Elementary (for elementary students) and will ask parents to sign up to help plan quantities. Staff said the Friday distribution would contain a 4‑day bag valued at about $22.34 per child, including shelf‑stable milk and foods meeting USDA nutrition standards.
The district will also submit eligibility lists for Summer EBT and expects an issuance of $120 per eligible school‑age student, as in prior years, for students directly certified (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, homeless or foster students). The nutrition program will continue partnering with community sponsors such as Gateway Private School and local parks for meal sites.
Staff emphasized program integrity measures (rosters, single‑site checks) and storage/safety instructions for families. The board did not take additional action beyond receiving the information and commended staff efforts.
