Lake Havasu City — The City Council on March 24 adopted Resolution 26-3901 renewing a 10‑year right‑of‑way agreement (No. 18-116652-00) with the Arizona State Land Department to preserve access for a possible future water booster station off Bison Boulevard.
City staff (Mr. Kellett) said the agreement is precautionary planning tied to the recently updated water master plan: if development in the area occurs, a booster station and egress will be needed; if not, the access will not be used. The renewal fee is $1,200 for the 10‑year period and replaces an expiring agreement.
Vice Mayor David Diaz and other council members asked whether the agreement was requested by a developer; staff replied it originated as staff planning, not at a developer’s request. Resident Bonnie Toy asked for a map showing the location; staff explained the right‑of‑way continues onto state lands at the top of Bison Road.
Vice Mayor Diaz moved to adopt Resolution 26-3901; the motion passed 7–0. Staff said the renewal keeps the access option available without obligating any immediate construction or development.
