The Murfreesboro Planning Commission voted April 15 to approve the final design and site plan for the Matson Pike Memory Care assisted-living facility, subject to staff comments and conditions.
Planner Mr. Barbie told commissioners the project is roughly 51,976 square feet on 2.18 acres with primary access from the east and west and no direct driveway onto Manson Pike. Staff said updated building materials and material-percentage breakdowns submitted earlier on the day met the city’s design guidelines and the gateway overlay requirements, and staff recommended approval subject to standard staff comments.
With no substantive commissioner comments, Chair Hallebertton moved to approve the application conditioned on staff comments; Miss Jacob seconded. The roll call showed all members present voting in favor.
The approval was explicitly “subject to staff comments,” meaning final sign-off depends on the applicant addressing the remaining staff items in the project packet.
