During council reports, members summarized recent committee and budget work sessions and highlighted community events.
Member Onstad said she attended the EDA meeting, the park advisory commission meeting and the budget work session held before the council meeting and thanked participants. Member Schilling also reported the EDA meeting was productive and referenced the earlier budget work session. Member Jagger noted attendance at the budget work session and thanked the public for tuning in.
Member Luger thanked residents for turnout at a Memorial Day service, encouraged public support for the MS-150 bike ride passing through Wyoming that weekend (noting the event's campaign was near a $2.2 million fundraising goal), and closed noting staff had a park announcement.
Mr. McFarland updated the council that construction at Fireside Park is underway, that St. Corey Recreation had installed equipment and poured concrete footings, and that the park advisory commission set a ribbon-cutting for Wednesday, June 18 at 5:00 p.m. He also announced a Touch-a-Truck event scheduled Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to noon at Good View, with vendors and a possible helicopter landing pending weather. The council welcomed public participation in these events.
