Columbiana launches ‘Columbiana Connect’ notifications app and proclaims April 25 Arbor Day

Charlene demonstrated sign-up options: residents may download the app, receive push notifications, or sign up by phone to receive calls or text messages. Staff will distribute QR codes and promote sign-up through businesses, the senior center, the library and the water board and will explore coordination with local schools.
The mayor also proclaimed April 25, 2025, as Arbor Day for Columbiana, noting the city’s Tree City USA status and recent tree‑giveaway activities by the beautification board. The council discussed upcoming events including the Chamber Connections luncheon and the Easter Bunny tea on April 4.
Additionally, the mayor said he will serve as the city’s voting delegate at the League of Municipalities convention unless another council member opts to attend and request the delegation.
