SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIP — The Springfield Township Planning Board adopted several resolutions and announced scheduling details for a special meeting on the master plan during a session at the annex building.
The board first adopted a resolution concerning temporary Ross Stores signage that had been posted to the Google Drive. The board then considered and approved the NRG Springfield LLC application with conditions addressing parking, landscaping and police coordination, and later approved a revised Bottle King sign with landscaping and a requirement that future tenants return for sign‑size review.
The chair told members a special planning board meeting will be held via Zoom at 6 p.m. to discuss the master plan update and a potential ordinance change related to generator setbacks; the board secretary will circulate a calendar invite. The chair also said additional meetings may be scheduled in the coming two months to coordinate with the township committee.
There were no public comments on the major applications that evening and the board adjourned after approving the resolutions.
