The Gretna City Council on March 17 approved third readings and adopted two ordinances: Ordinance 2198, authorizing the sale and exchange of specified city‑owned parcels to RVS Investments, LLC pursuant to an exchange agreement and Nebraska Revised Statute 16‑202; and Ordinance 2199, amending the official zoning map to rezone Lot 1, Nelson's Corner, from RE Residential Estates to R‑2 Medium Density Residential.
Jeff Miller read both ordinance titles aloud before council votes. Each ordinance passed on recorded votes of 3–0 with Councilmembers Kara Alexander, Bill Proctor and Jeremy Westengaard voting yea and Councilmember Lauren Liebentritt recorded as absent.
Ordinance 2198 directs the city to complete an exchange of specified parcels (Outlot A of Santa Fe Pointe subdivision; Taxlot 26 of S36, T14N, R10E; and the irregular south part of Outlot D of Replat 1 of Lincoln Place Phase II) to RVS Investments, LLC under the terms of a separate exchange agreement. Ordinance 2199 changes the zoning classification for Lot 1 Nelson's Corner to R‑2 Medium Density Residential; supporting materials and prior hearings on that rezoning were on the council’s agenda.
Both ordinances are effective as adopted. The actions recorded at the meeting are legislative land‑use decisions; any administrative or building permits required to implement development proposals remain subject to separate review and approval processes.
