The Maple School District board awarded a bid to resurface the high-school track to Fisher Tracks for $107,003.99, approving the project so work can occur this July.
Facilities staff presented two bids: Fisher Tracks' lower bid at $107,003.99 with an available window this July, and a higher bid from Athletic Field Services that could not complete the work until summer 2027. The district recommended Fisher Tracks to capture the earlier schedule and significant cost savings.
Administrator Fletcher said the project is primarily resurfacing with minimal subgrade work and repainting; the contractor estimates 5–7 days for the bulk of the work with paint and striping possibly requiring a follow-up repaint. Board members asked about funding; administration said short-term borrowing or internal cash advances may be used until referendum bond proceeds are available and that the board will see related financing steps in the coming months.
The board approved the recommendation by roll call.
