Engineer Matt reported seven bidders and confirmed Redstone Excavating's low bid of $572,300.75. Council moved, seconded and approved the award; members voted in favor and the motion passed.
Council also approved payroll and routine bill payments on the consent portion of the agenda. The manager and solicitor noted a clerical typo in the police funding line item but confirmed the total payroll and bills figure was correct.
The solicitor and engineering staff said the borough will proceed with contract finalization and scheduling to meet paving season timelines.
The vote on the award was taken after the assembly approved an agenda amendment adding the bid award as an action item; no council member named a dissent on the record.
