"The bid came back originally just under $200,000," he said, "and we were still able to come in under our budgeted amount of $250,000 with an amount of $230,540." He told the council the bid includes no built‑in contingency but staff were comfortable proceeding because the price was under the budgeted authorization.
Councilors asked whether the bid included contingency allowances; staff replied it did not, and that the contractor had coordinated with subcontractors and staff planned additional walkthroughs to confirm scope. The council then moved and approved the resolution awarding the bid to Lake Town Electric by roll call.
