Lee County School Board unanimously approves minutes, financials, personnel, delegates and middle‑school flooring project

The Lee County Board of Education approved a series of routine and operational items during its March 10 regular business meeting, voting unanimously on each motion presented.
The board approved the minutes of the Feb. 10 regular business meeting, accepted the month‑end January 2025 financial report, and approved the personnel consent agenda, which included retirements and recommended replacements; the superintendent said acceptance of replacements would leave the district 94% filled in certified positions.
Board members also approved the consent agenda covering fundraisers, overnight trips, facility‑use contracts, 2025–26 salary guide placements and summer school guidelines. The board nominated and approved Donna Ford as the district delegate and Fran Walls as the alternate delegate to the GSBA delegate assembly scheduled for June 20, 2025 in Savannah.
Finally, the board accepted the lowest bid to install luxury vinyl tile flooring in the West hallways at Lee County Middle School West, a project staff said would reduce custodial time and replacement cycles.
All recorded votes on these items were unanimous (5–0). The board adjourned with the next regular meeting scheduled for April 21, 2025.
