Wyoming Area board approves finance report, ratifies payments and multi-year contracts

The report also recommended a three-year appointment for LifeTouch Photography (2026–2029) and a recommended three-year agreement between the Board of Education and the Wyoming Area Police Officers Association pending final writing and solicitor review. Another recommendation approved for extension pending approvals was Metz Culinary Management for the 2026–27 school year.
Other items in the finance report included approval of a settlement agreement and release related to student number 3000122 pending superintendent and solicitor approval, payment of $4,032.80 to PA Paper & Supply for secondary center desks (invoice S1613423.001), engagement of JJ Mantione Appraisal Realty Group, Inc. for general appraisal services not to exceed $5,000, and approval of the general ledger sheet totaling $1,895,375.70.
During discussion, a board member thanked George Miller for his years of service as West Pittston tax collector following his retirement letter. A motion to adopt the finance report was seconded. The roll-call vote recorded yes votes from Katchmarcik; Burke; Campenni; Conkol; Gazda; Kapral; Butera; and Albrechigi. The motion passed.
