City manager announces safety action plan survey and posts draft 2025 Climate Action Plan for review

City Manager Ethan Bender told the council the city has launched public outreach on two planning efforts: a Pleasant Hill Safety Action Plan and the draft 2025 Climate Action Plan.
Bender said the Safety Action Plan will analyze collision data and gather community input to guide projects and strategies to reduce severe injuries and traffic fatalities. He encouraged residents to take the city's online survey to provide input.
On climate, Bender said the city's draft 2025 Climate Action Plan is available for public review on the city website and that the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the CAP on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7 p.m. The CAP, he said, outlines goals and strategies to meet state greenhouse-gas-reduction requirements and to reach carbon neutrality by 2045.
Bender also announced a Feb. 24 Commission on Aging program on financial security for seniors and reminded residents about the Pleasant Hill Perks gift program and the 90-day expiration rule on certain bonus cards.
Council members asked for clarification on redemption timing; staff replied the 90-day window is measured from each purchaser’s card issuance date.
