Staff report highlights assessment work; board approves personnel report and hears budget system migration update

Pulaski Community School District staff reported on assessments and personnel changes, and the business office updated trustees on a financial system migration.
Curtis presented the AGR (assessment) report, summarizing end-of-semester data review with grade-level teams and Learning Support Teams (LSTs). Curtis said staff are using targeted one-on-one tutoring with current staff and implementing coaching cycles in kindergarten and first grade to address literacy and other gaps; he described work to drill into AIMsWeb data and refine assessment protocols so teachers can better use data to guide instruction.
The personnel report presented by Stephanie listed one hire — Heather White, to serve as a secondary ELA/disciplinary literacy coordinator starting in July — and multiple resignations and retirements, including Julie Bedora (first grade), Betsy Gallagher (school nurse), Sarah Poutz (4K), and Matt Smith (resigning as high school principal). A board member moved to approve the personnel report; trustees approved the motion by voice vote.
Mark from the business office reviewed the January budget report and told the board that next month will be the last report produced from the district's current Skyward business system; the business side will migrate to Cumulative and future reports may have a different look and feel. Trustees were told the March workshop will include budgeting and staffing materials.
The meeting closed with an introduction of two students who will operate the meeting livestream on rotation (Morgan Stewart and Gavin Sakowski) and an adjournment by voice vote.
