"This software will replace the system previously used at Boom Town Bay," a staff member said, adding that ActiveNet will expand capabilities to take bookings and payments online and improve reporting for future planning and marketing. Commissioners asked whether the contract is renewable; staff said the agreement is year‑to‑year.
Supporters of the contract said digitizing rentals and streamlining vendor registration will reduce manual processing and free staff time at City Hall. A motion to approve the contract passed without opposition.
The board did not provide a roll‑call vote tally in the public record beyond the unanimous voice vote. Implementation details, including the timing of migration from the previous system, were described as part of staff’s rollout plan.
