The Brainerd City Safety and Public Works Committee approved a staff recommendation to levy a recurring $300 citation every 30 days for ongoing property maintenance violations at 1209 Rosewood Street.
Mr. Kramvvic, the staff presenter for active code enforcement, told the committee that the property has "significant issues with their shingles," noting deterioration and cupping. Staff said the owner had not contacted the city to make arrangements to address the violations and that prior levies totaled $600. "At this point, staff recommends sending a $300 citation every 30 days, which has been consistent with our other recommendations for property maintenance issues," Mr. Kramvvic said.
A committee member moved to follow staff's recommendation, the motion was seconded, and members voted in favor by voice; the motion carried. The committee recorded no individual roll‑call votes in the transcript. Staff will proceed with the recurring citations per the committee’s direction.
