City staff told the Brainerd City Personnel & Finance Committee on May 19 that the current custodial contract expires June 30 and asked for direction to issue an RFP for a two-year custodial services contract beginning July 1. The committee approved the request by voice vote.
Finance Director Connie Milman described the recommended action and said the only changes were minor adjustments to the scope of work at the police station — primarily clarifying vacuuming frequency and addressing one small area that had been deficient.
A councilmember moved to approve the request; after a second, the committee voted by voice and the motion carried. Staff were directed to begin the RFP process.
