Staff said they referenced Crow Wing County's shoreland ordinance for guidance and expect to return the draft to the commission for additional review and a likely public hearing in October.
On cannabis, staff reported that the city allowed two registrations for retail cannabis operations under state rules and that two applications for the microbusiness registration have been received and meet distance requirements (not within the 300‑foot restricted radius); the city’s two registrations are currently fulfilled.
No formal actions were taken; staff will bring both items back for future public hearings and additional commission review.
