Brainerd City committee approves final pay requests, OKs $2,500 engineering amendment

The Brainerd City Safety and Public Works Committee approved several final pay requests for street and utility work and authorized a $2,500 engineering amendment for an M Street outfall repair during its meeting in Council Chambers.

Public works staff presented a final pay request for the 2208 South Brainerd Reconstruction project, reporting the work was completed in 2024 and that turf has reestablished after recent rain. Finally, the committee approved a WSB contract amendment not to exceed $2,500 to cover engineering modifications for the M Street outfall repair. Staff said the amendment will allow the consultant to revise plans to address scouring near a neighbor’s fence and to include necessary engineering for the repair.
