District celebrates student competition wins and all schools’ Purple Star status

The board and a present county commissioner congratulated the students.
Deana McLaughlin (introduced by the board as a long-time commissioner with a role described in the record as "Deputy District Director" and as a representative of the Tennessee organization noted in the transcript) presented a congressional record from Congressman Matt Van Epps honoring military-connected children and explained the Purple Star Award recognition for schools that support military families.
