Item 4A, the RPS partnership with Rockford University for a special‑education LBS1 endorsement, was approved on a roll call with six yes votes and one member absent. The planning and development consent items included purchase/approval of the Carnegie learning math resource for Marshall Middle School (6A), a permanent landscape and drainage easement (6B), a bilingual Arabic curriculum materials update (6C) and a secondary ESL curriculum update (6D); board roll calls for these items were recorded as six yeses, one absent.
Governance committee proposals — proposed revisions to board policy 2.10 (school governance) and 4.80 (accounting and audits) — were likewise approved by roll call. The meeting also approved multiple consent items across the performance and planning committees and the governance consent slate.
Closed‑session consent items approved by roll call included a package of personnel appointments (listed in the agenda including multiple assistant principal and executive director appointments), compensation adjustments for non‑bargaining employees, a resolution authorizing honorable dismissal of teachers, a termination resolution for a probationary teacher and the HR organizational report.
