During public comment on April 21, resident Jean Nitter (430 Grant Street) asked the council to address repeated speeding and loud mufflers on Grant Street between Fourth and Fifth. Nitter described a concentration of pickup trucks that rev at intersections and said the block is residential with children and elderly residents.
The council thanked her for raising the concern and said the police department would follow up. No formal referral or ordinance change was proposed at the meeting; staff said the police department would look into enforcement options.
