De Pere council approves multiple public works contracts, website vendor and appointments

Following Board of Public Works recommendations, the council awarded multiple construction and maintenance contracts, including contract 2601 (sewer and water relay and street resurfacing), 2602 (concrete street paving), 2607 (curb repair and street resurfacing), 2608 (manhole rehabilitation), 2611 (Merrill Street reconstruction), 2617 (Kingston Preserve Phase Two), 2618 (Community Center air handler upgrade) and 2621 (City Hall air handler replacement). Alderperson Hansen thanked staff and the contractor for coordinating the Merrill Street reconstruction to start after the school year and finish before the next school year to limit traffic impacts.
The council also approved a change of agent for the De Pere Cultural Foundation (Malva Cultural Center) to Marvin A. Wall and approved the mayor’s appointments and reappointments to city boards and commissions. The council elected Alderpersons Pirock and Hansen to the Plan Commission and re‑elected Alderperson Ledvina as council president; Alderperson Konniger was approved as the alderperson liaison to the new Youth Commission for a one‑year term.
All items were approved by voice or roll call votes; none were pulled for separate debate during the meeting.
