Ravenna City honors staff and students as 'Face of a Raven' award recipients

Eighth-grader Ryan Everson was recognized for straight A's, near-perfect attendance and organizing a student clothing drive. Senior Cohen Ko was noted for academic resilience and character; staff said they would ensure he received his award.
Board members and administrators invited award recipients and their families for photos in the cafeteria after the recognitions. The superintendent and Dr. Flowers coordinated the presentation; staff nominations and teacher comments were read aloud to the board.
The recognitions were followed by routine business; board members were reminded of upcoming events including the State of the Schools presentation and Maplewood career awards.
