Enterprise council moves to identify Rucker Boulevard park sites; IT security policy to be drafted

One councilor said an ordinance provides longer-term durability; others favored a shorter, readable policy supplemented by mandated annual review and staff-level SOPs. Council and staff agreed to bring a third-party baseline security assessment and a written policy in place by Q4, timed to precede the city’s OpenGov implementation, and to use executive session for security-sensitive discussion if necessary.
Council asked staff to provide written proposals and timelines; no formal votes were taken on either item during the meeting.
