Recorder of Deeds offers free LandEx record-alert service; commissioners adopt telecommunicators proclamation

Jim Thorpe, Pa. — Donna Gentile, Carbon County Recorder of Deeds, told the Board of Commissioners on April 16 that a free LandEx Record Alert service is now available to property owners in the county to notify them of documents filed against their property.
Gentile said interested constituents can sign up at https://www.landex.com/recordalert/carbon or contact the Recorder of Deeds office at 570-325-2651 for further information. The service is described in the minutes as a fraud-alert system that is free to anyone who owns property in Carbon County.
Separately, the board adopted Proclamation #2026-006 designating April 12–18, 2026 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in honor of emergency dispatchers. Communications Director Gary Williams reported staffing and activity figures for the Communications Center, saying it currently has 12 full‑time dispatchers, three part‑time dispatchers and an assistant director. Williams said call volume decreased from 121,006 in 2024 to 118,535 in 2025 while incident reports increased from 62,073 to 65,669 over the same period.
The commissioners thanked Williams and the 911 staff for their work during the proclamation presentation. The minutes do not record further discussion or public comment about either item.
