City staff told the Haslet Taipei EDC that the City of Haslet general election is scheduled for May 2 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for council places 1, 3 and 5. Staff also announced a brush‑and‑limbs drop‑off at Haslet Public Works on May 2 from 8 a.m. to noon, a Carter Blood Care drive at Haslet Public Library from noon to 4 p.m., and a Memorial Day event at Haslet Community Park Veterans Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m. on May 25; city offices and the library will be closed that day.
During the consent‑agenda portion of the meeting, the board considered approval of regular and special meeting minutes (including August 27, November 19 and two January dates) and the March 2026 financial report. After brief clarification about attendance at a January meeting, a committee member moved to approve the minutes and the financial report, another committee member seconded, and the chair stated the motion carried.
Katrina confirmed there were no public speakers signed up for citizens participation. The board later recessed briefly into an executive session and reconvened before adjourning; members noted follow‑up timing for a future presenter and permit clarifications would be handled outside the meeting.
