Easton School Committee accepts donation, approves banner sponsors and signs off on multiple policy revisions

The Easton School Committee on April 16, 2026 took several routine actions and approved a slate of policy edits and deletions that the policy subcommittee and legal counsel had recommended.
The committee voted unanimously by roll call to accept an in-kind donation of 40 pairs of leggings from a local fitness/sports apparel donor recorded in the transcript as "Booty by Braybance" (value recorded as $1,360). All recorded roll-call votes in the meeting segment were unanimous among the four members recorded in the transcript: Percio (yes), Wiseman (yes), Hamilton (yes) and Lumis (yes).
Near the end of the meeting the committee voted unanimously to enter executive session and not return to open session to discuss collective bargaining strategy with EA units A and C and to review executive session minutes under M.G.L. c. 30A, §21(a)(3) and §21(a)(7).
What this means: the policy changes will be incorporated into the district’s policy manual following any minor editorial corrections noted during the meeting. The acceptance of the donation and banner sponsors provide small direct benefits for student programs and athletic promotion. The committee did not take a public vote on the student parking proposal because it was not on the published agenda and rescheduled that item for April 30.
The committee adjourned into executive session immediately following the votes.
