Southside group celebrates Cooley Park mural, seeks May ribbon cutting; Gus Macker planning continues

"If you guys have a chance, please go by Cooley Park... it's definitely a nice feature on that corner now," Courtney said, inviting board members and the public to attend.
Courtney also provided an update on planning for the Gus Macker event, noting team registration is handled externally and that organizers are seeking vendors, sponsors and volunteers. She asked the park staff to help publicize volunteer signups and share material with board members; staff said they would circulate a volunteer link and marketing materials.
The board welcomed the Southside Association’s work on public art and encouraged cross-promotion of the Gus Macker volunteer campaign on the parks' platforms.
